The 2017 Just Cars Auto Expo at
We-Ko-Pa Resort in
Scottsdale, AZ, was the
fourteenth year Jim
Hetchler (President of
Just Cars Auto Expo)
has been putting on
this event. They introduced new all day long
classes, which was a result of a
survey they sent out asking what
they could do to make the show
Just Cars added three new
international vendors and also
introduced some new domestic
vendors to the show. This year
they also introduced a social
meet and greet event, which they
have had numerous requests to
do so they put it together. They
planned for about 100 people to
attend. As an afterthought they
decided to offer the vendors who
were not sponsors a chance to
participate. Stacy Hetchler came
up with the idea to have a “Buck-
et List” where they asked those
wishing to participate to donate
something worth at least $300.00.
This went over so well that they
then offered it to their sponsors.
Just Cars ended up with over
$10,000.00 in prizes in 12 buckets
and between 275-300 people at
the event. It was an overwhelm-
ing success beyond anything
they believed would happen. So
now it appears it
will have to be done
Just Cars had
somewhere in the
excess of 600 attend-
ees. They also had a
much larger interna-
tional presence then
in previous years. There were
too many countries to name but a
few were Russia, China, Poland,
Belarus, UK, Australia, and New
Zealand. Just Cars is expecting
even more attendees next year,
looking for over 900.
Just Cars continues to strive
for improvement in this event
and is doing all they can to make
sure it is about “Education First”.
